For more than 30 years, Simon Guilfoyle has lived, worked and invested through the major shifts that have shaped the Australian property landscape. His long term perspective allows him to recognise patterns, anticipate buyer behaviour and guide clients with a level of confidence that only comes from experience. He understands how different economic periods influence demand, pricing and negotiation. This lived experience forms the foundation of Guilfoyle Realty’s calm, evidence based approach.

Simon’s record on the Sunshine Coast spans decades, not cycles. He began his real estate career in the mid-1990s on the Gold Coast whilst at Griffith University. In 1999 he was approached by the renowned private developer, the Juniper Development Group, and in 2004 founded G1 Property Mooloolaba, which he built and operated for 20 years. Across that period he delivered benchmark sales on Parkyn Parade, River Esplanade, Mooloolaba Esplanade and First Avenue — including the $70,000,000+ sellout of Sea Pearl and its $11,000,000+ penthouse, the $36,000,000+ Alpha on Duporth Avenue, the $35,000,000 First Light development on First Avenue, 115 Mooloolah Drive at $6,450,000, and 2/63 River Esplanade at $7,140,000, among many others.

Simon’s own conviction runs deeper than agency. He was a Sea Pearl owner himself, and his resale of his own apartment set the building’s first resale record — a benchmark Sea Pearl has followed ever since. He also originated and held the Development Approval for First Light, today one of Mooloolaba’s most successful resale buildings. These are not isolated results. They are the pattern of an advisor who has been present, active and trusted across every market condition for over thirty years.

Between 2022 and February 2026, Simon stepped back from public real estate practice during a significant period of personal and professional transition, which included a contractual restraint of trade. He used that time to broaden his commercial experience internationally, including time in Dubai, before returning to the Sunshine Coast to establish Guilfoyle Realty following the expiry of the restraint in February 2026.

That period did not diminish his commitment to clients, if anything, it sharpened his perspective, strengthened his commercial insight, and reinforced the energy and passion that have defined his career for more than three decades.
